Inspection of rural insurance in the country continues until December

This week, the National Supply Company (Conab) continues inspection operations for the Rural Insurance Premium Subsidy Program (PSR). These operations are part of the first phase, which began in August and continues until next month. The second phase of inspections will take place between October and December. The expected goal is to carry out 1.828 inspections between the months of August and December 2023. 

With the policy data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the instructions in hand, the inspector checks whether the producer has in fact contracted the insurance policy; whether the specified crop was cultivated in the area indicated in the policy, observing its existence or traces; and the receipt of the federal subsidy is confirmed through the financial discount for the acquisition of the insurance policy.

The PSR is a federal government subsidy program, administered by Mapa, which aims to make rural insurance more accessible for rural producers.
