inpEV celebrates achievements at Show Rural Coopavel

After two years of pandemic, inpEV, National Institute of Empty Packaging Processing, is present at one of the biggest events in the sector, the Show Rural Coopavel, which will be held until February 11, in Cascavel (PR).

The participation – a joint initiative with associations and resellers from Paraná – celebrates the Institute's 20th anniversary and the historic milestone of more than 650 thousand tons of post-consumer packaging of agricultural pesticides correctly disposed of over two decades, which is equivalent to 94% of total primary packaging sold in Brazil.

Fabio Macul, inpEV's regional Operations coordinator, highlighted that this number shows the success of the Institute's work as manager of the Campo Limpo System, a reverse logistics program for empty agricultural pesticide packaging. Under the management of inpEV, which represents the agricultural pesticide industries, the System has become a world leader and a reference for other industries. “This success is the result of the integration of manufacturers, importers, registrants, farmers, distributors and public authorities”, he says.

During the event, rural producers and agricultural professionals will be able to learn, at the Institute's stand, about inpEV's trajectory and the path taken by pesticide packaging, from purchase to the transformation process, including the exhibition of artifacts produced through recycling of this material. 

According to Macul, in this edition of Show Rural Coopavel, inpEV seeks to rescue the history of the System and its contribution to making Brazilian agribusiness more sustainable and an international reference. “Sharing and preserving this legacy is one of the Institute’s missions, so much so that in December 2021 it opened the Campo Limpo System Museum, the first dedicated to reverse logistics in the sector”, he explains. 

Located in Guariba, in the interior of São Paulo, the Museum allows visitors to learn, in a playful and interactive way, about the stages of the operation, benefits and results obtained over two decades, including the first publicity and awareness campaigns. 

“We want to encourage the public to visit the Campo Limpo System Museum, as it is unique in the country”, he concludes.
