Inova Trade Show will address innovation and sustainability in the agricultural sector

This week, Embrapa participates in the 8th edition of the Inova Trade Show, an event held by the Fundação Fórum Campinas Inovadora (FFCi). There will be two days of programming, completely online and open to the public, with the aim of promoting and presenting what is developed in the Campinas region, an important hub for science, technology and innovation in Brazil.

Divided into seven panels, the Inova Trade Show program will present initiatives developed by educational and research institutions, companies born in the region that have achieved national impact and the performance of startups in the innovation scenario.

Low-carbon agriculture, sustainability in agribusiness, companies and innovation ecosystems and the impact of the internet of things (IoT) on the transformation of cities are some of the topics that will be discussed at the event.

On November 10th, at 16pm, Silvia Massruhá, general manager of Embrapa Digital Agriculture, will be on the panel “The role of startups in innovation”, which will address opportunities for interaction with the public sector and companies through acceleration, and also care related to intellectual property. Also taking part will be Newton Frateschi, responsible for innovation at the Campinas Economic Development Secretariat, and Marcelo Brandão, director of Vilage Marcas e Patentes.

Low-carbon agriculture and the ABC+ program, from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, will be the theme of the panel that will take place on November 11th, at 10:30 am. The debate will have the participation of researcher Giampaolo Pellegrino, from Embrapa Digital Agriculture and president of the Climate Change portfolio management committee, and researcher Celso Manzatto, from Embrapa Meio Ambiente and coordinator of the ABC Platform.

Inova Trade Show 2021

The Inova Trade Show 2021 aims to demonstrate the technological potential and new trends for the innovative ecosystem in the Campinas region and the country. To this end, it offers a complete program that brings together companies, startups, research institutions, universities, incubators and science and technology parks.

The event is held by the Fundação Fórum Campinas Inovadora (FFCi), an entity that brings together science, technology and innovation institutions in the region, as well as the main business associations and government bodies. The Embrapa Digital Agriculture, Embrapa Environment and Embrapa Territorial units are part of FFCi.
