Inmet: weather forecast for the week of June 02nd to 09th

The weather forecast for the week of June 02 to June 09 indicates heavy rains in the north of the North Region, northwest of Maranhão, the border between southern Bahia and Espírito Santo, as well as in the South Region, where volumes may exceed 50 mm. 

Rainfall of between 20 and 40 mm may occur in some areas of the North and East of the Northeast, Paraná and West of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. In other areas, the forecast is for clear weather, but there may be light rain, as shown in Figure 1.

In the region North, the greatest accumulations of rain will be concentrated in the strip that goes from the northwest of Amazonas to the northeast of Pará, with volumes that can exceed 60 mm.

In the region Northeast There is no forecast of rain, only in areas close to the coast of Bahia, Sergipe and Alagoas, in addition to the northwest of Maranhão with volumes that can reach 50 mm.

in the regions Midwest e Southeast, the forecast indicates rain in areas of south-central Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, south of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and north of Espírito Santo, with volumes that may exceed 20 mm, until tomorrow (03), and from June 4 (Wednesday), the weather will be stable.

In the region Sul, volumes above 60 mm are forecast in the north-central part of Rio Grande do Sul and east of Santa Catarina, where the highest accumulations may occur on June 05th.

High maximum temperatures are also expected throughout the week in the Northeast, Central-West and west of the Southeast regions, which could exceed 30ºC.
