Inmet: weather forecast for the week of April 14-21

Week will see lighter rains in the Center-West and Southeast of Brazil

The week of April 14 to 21 will see less rainfall compared to last week, concentrated in Amapá, as well as in the western and southern parts of the North Region, according to Meteorological Information No. 14/25 from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet).

In the Central-West and Southeast regions, rainfall accumulations that may exceed 80 mm (red tones) are also expected during the week. In the Northeast and South regions of Brazil, the tendency is for rainfall accumulations below 40 mm (green and blue tones), according to Figure 1.

Na Northern Region, the highlight goes to the north and south of Amazonas and Pará and also Amapá, with rainfall volumes that can exceed 60 mm (orange and red tones). In North East Region, areas of rain should remain throughout the week over western Maranhão, as well as in areas of the coast of Bahia and Sergipe, with volumes varying between 20 mm and 50 mm (green tones).

Na Midwest region, the forecast is for more localized rains over Mato Grosso and Goiás, with accumulations that could exceed 50 mm (orange and red tones). In Southeast, the south-central states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo (orange and red tones) may record an accumulation of 50 mm.

Now at Sul In the country, the week begins with stable weather in much of the region. The highlight is the north-central region of Paraná, which should receive rainfall volumes above 40 mm (green and yellow tones).
