The week will be marked by large volumes of rain in the central region of the country. Figure 1 shows the forecast for accumulated rainfall, according to the Cosmo numerical model of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), indicating that volumes may exceed 80 mm (represented in shades of red and pink).
For Northern Region, areas of instability associated with heat and high humidity will cause rain showers throughout the week, with values above 50,0 mm in the northwest and southeast of Amazonas and southern Pará. Isolated rain showers may occur in other areas of the Region, with the exception of the north, where the chance of rain is low.
Na North East Region The forecast is for hot and dry weather in much of the region. However, from Tuesday (15), an increase in cloudiness is expected, especially in eastern Bahia, Pernambuco, Paraíba, Sergipe, Alagoas, which may generate instability, resulting in isolated rain showers. From 16/10, there are conditions for rain showers and isolated thunderstorms in western Bahia and southern Tocantins.
Nas Midwest Regions e Southeast There is an increase in cloudiness, with forecast of heavy rain showers, especially on Thursday (17) over Mato Grosso. These changes are associated with the alignment of humidity convergence in the central portion of the country. From October 19th in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais and São Paulo, the rains will intensify with forecast of heavy rain showers and accumulations above 10 mm.
Na South, the week begins with storms in the west of Rio Grande do Sul and west of Santa Catarina, due to the action of a trough in the region.
