The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) concluded today (20) the weather forecast for the next two weeks. In the first, between the 20th and 27th of November, the highest volumes of rain are predicted for the northwest and south of the country (red and pink tones on the map in figure 1).
Furthermore, rain showers are forecast in areas of the Central-West and Southeast regions due to the organization of a moisture channel in the northwest-southeast direction.
On the other hand, in the northeastern part of Brazil, the forecast is for hot and dry weather throughout the week (white and blue tones on the map in figure 1).
Check out the detailed weather forecast for each region of the country for the next two weeks below.
For Northern Region, the forecast is for rain in the form of showers, with amounts greater than 80 millimeters (mm) in Amazonas, Acre, Rondônia and southern Roraima, which may be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms. In specific areas of Pará and Tocantins, the volume of rain will be lower due to the heat and high humidity. In other areas, there will be a predominance of dry weather and no rain (blue tones on the map).
Na Northeast Region, the forecast is for dry weather without rain, in addition to low relative humidity values, mainly in the north and east of the region (white and blue areas on the map). However, isolated rain showers cannot be ruled out in Maranhão, Piauí and western Bahia, including the Matopiba areas (Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia). Rain may be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms.
Due to the organization of a humidity channel, localized rain showers are expected in areas of São Paulo and the Central-West Region, which may exceed 50 mm and be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms. Lower accumulations are predicted in specific areas of the Southeast Region.
Na South, the storms return between the 21st and 22nd/11 due to the action of a hot and humid air mass, which may be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind, thunderstorms and hail. The largest accumulations may exceed 70 mm in areas of Paraná and western Santa Catarina.
In the second week, between November 28th and December 6th, the forecast indicates large amounts of rain, greater than 100 millimeters (mm) in the east of the Southeast Region, when a convergence of humidity is observed in the northwest-southeast direction.
In the south of the country, rain showers may occur, which may exceed 50 mm, mainly in the west of the region.
For Northern Region, accumulations greater than 50 mm are expected in Amazonas, Roraima, Acre, Rondônia, Tocantins and southern Pará. In the northern part, the forecast is for accumulations of less than 20 mm.
