Inmet: weather forecast between June 30th and July 07th

Rain is expected in the North and coastal areas of the Northeast and Southeast; while the interior of the country will experience dry and cold weather.

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) released this Monday (30/6) the weather forecast for the period between June 30 and July 7, 2025. According to the Cosmo numerical model, heavy rains are expected in the north of the North Region and in the east of the Southeast and Northeast regions, with accumulations that may exceed 50 millimeters. In other areas of the country, the trend is for dry weather and a drop in relative humidity, especially in the northeast of Mato Grosso, Goiás, the Federal District and the center-west of Minas Gerais.

According to Inmet, instabilities are expected to be concentrated in the north-central regions of Amazonas, Roraima, Amapá and northern Pará, where rainfall volumes could exceed 50 mm. On the other hand, there is no forecast of rainfall for eastern Acre, Rondônia, southern Amazonas and Pará, as well as Tocantins.

In the interior of the Northeast, rain is also not expected, with a reduction in relative humidity in the south of Piauí and Maranhão, as well as in the west of Bahia. On the coast of the region, mainly in the east of Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas and the extreme northwest of Maranhão, accumulated rainfall may exceed 20 mm.

In the Southeast and Central-West regions, the beginning of the week is expected to be marked by rainfall of between 30 and 50 mm in the east of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo. In the other areas, the weather will remain stable, with low humidity levels. In the South, only the east of Paraná is expected to register rainfall, with volumes below 20 mm. In the other areas of the region, the forecast is for stable weather throughout the week.

Temperatures

The forecast also indicates high maximum temperatures in the south of the North Region and in the north of the Central-West and Northeast regions. The highest values ​​are expected to occur on July 3, covering the southeast of Amazonas, south-central Pará, northern Mato Grosso, Tocantins, Maranhão and Piauí. In these areas, temperatures may exceed 35°C.

In contrast, in the east of the Northeast and in parts of the Southeast and Central-West regions, maximum temperatures should be below 28°C. In Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, east of Paraná and São Paulo, as well as the south of Minas Gerais, maximum temperatures should not exceed 18°C.

Minimum temperatures remain high in the North Region and in the north of the Northeast, with records above 24°C. In the center-south of the country, minimums below 18°C ​​predominate.

Between June 30 and July 3, a cold air mass is expected to cause a sharp drop in temperatures in southern Brazil. In southern Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, temperatures may drop below 6°C, with the possibility of frost in higher altitude areas.

This system is expected to advance throughout the week, causing a drop in temperatures in Acre, southern Rondônia, western and southern Mato Grosso and in Mato Grosso do Sul. From July 5th, temperatures could drop below 10°C in southern Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
