Inmet: weather forecast between June 16th and 23rd

The week will see heavy rains in the North, Northeast and South, with a risk of hail and frost in some regions

The weather forecast for the week of June 16 to June 23 indicates heavy rains in the north of the North Region, east coast of the Northeast and Rio Grande do Sul, with volumes that may exceed 50 mm (yellow, orange and red tones in Figure 1). Rains between 20 and 40 mm may occur in Santa Catarina and the central part of Amazonas (green tones in Figure 1).

According to Meteorological Bulletin No. 22/25 from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), the weather is expected to be clear in the areas in white, but light rain may occur in areas of southern Mato Grosso do Sul, northeastern Minas Gerais and northern Espírito Santo.

Na Northern Region, the highest rainfall accumulations will be concentrated in Roraima, Amapá and the northwest of the states of Amazonas and Pará, with volumes that could exceed 60 mm. There is no forecast of rain for the south of the Amazon region.

Inside the North East Region There is no forecast of rain, only in areas close to the coast of the states of Bahia, Sergipe, Alagoas, Pernambuco and northwest Maranhão, where rainfall above 20 mm may occur.

in the regions Midwest e Southeast, predominance of dry weather, with the possibility of light rain in the south of MS, northeast of MG and north of ES.

Na South, storms may still occur in Rio Grande do Sul, with volumes exceeding 80 mm, which may be accompanied by strong winds and hail. Rainfall between 30 and 60 mm is forecast for the southeast of Santa Catarina. The weather will remain predominantly clear in the north of Paraná.

Minimum temperatures tend to remain lower in the South, Southeast, and the southernmost portion of the Central-West Region. The lowest minimum temperatures will range between 4°C and 6°C in the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul and in the Southeast Region, mainly in the mountainous region of Minas Gerais, maintaining the risk of frost in locations under these conditions.
