The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) concluded today (31/7) the weather forecast for the next two weeks. In the first, between July 31, 2023 and August 7, 2023, the largest accumulations are predicted in the extreme north of the country (orange and red tones on the map in figure 1).
In most parts of the country, especially in central and interior areas of the Northeast Region, high temperatures, dry weather and low humidity are expected to prevail throughout practically the entire week (white tones on the map in figure 1).
Check out the detailed weather forecast for each region of Brazil for the next two weeks below.
North region: Rainfall volumes greater than 40 millimeters (mm) are predicted in the extreme north, mainly in central and northwestern areas of Amazonas, south and east of Roraima, in addition to northwestern Pará, with possibilities of thunderstorms and gusts of winds in isolation due to to heat and high humidity. In other areas, such as Rondônia, Acre, Tocantins and the south of the region, dry weather and no rain will predominate.
Northeast Region: the weather continues with varying cloudiness and temporary rains across the entire coastal strip, mainly on the coast of Bahia at the beginning of the week due to the transport of moisture from the ocean. In other areas, such as Matopiba (Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia) and the interior and north of the region, the weather will continue to be hot and dry.
Central-West, Southeast and South Regions: a dry air mass will leave the weather stable and rainless throughout the week. However, there is a possibility of rain in the south of Rio Grande do Sul, on August 7th. In addition, low relative humidity values of less than 30% may be recorded.
In the second week, between the 8th and 16th of August 2023, the week may present rainfall accumulations greater than 50 millimeters (mm) in areas of the South Region, south of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, eastern part of the Northeast, beyond the northwest of the country.
In much of Central Brazil and the interior of the Northeast, dry weather and no rain are expected throughout the week. See figure 2.

Northeast Region: Accumulations of rain that could exceed 40 mm are predicted on the coastal strip. In areas of Matopiba (Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia), the north and interior of the region, there is no forecast of rain, with stable and dry weather prevailing.
