The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) concluded today (24) the weather forecast for the next two weeks. In the first, between the 24th and 31st of July 2023, the largest accumulations of rain are predicted for the northwest of Brazil, in addition to areas in the South Region (shades of green to red on the map in figure 1).
In most of the country, mainly in central areas and in the interior of the Northeast Region, high temperatures, dry weather and low humidity are expected to prevail (white tones on the map in figure 1).
Check out the detailed weather forecast for each region of Brazil for the next two weeks below.
Forecast for the 1st week (24/07/2023 to 31/07/2023):
North region: Rainfall volumes greater than 20 millimeters (mm) are expected in the extreme north of the region, and may exceed 50 mm in areas of northwestern Amazonas and northern Roraima due to the heat and high humidity. In other areas, such as Rondônia, Acre, Tocantins and the south of the region, there will be a predominance of dry weather and no rain.
Northeast Region: Low accumulated rainfall (less than 30 mm) may occur on the east coast of the region, mainly on the south coast of Bahia. In other areas, such as Matopiba (a region that covers the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia) and in the interior and north of the region, the weather will remain stable and dry.
Midwest and Southeast Regions: a high pressure system and a mass of dry air will leave the weather stable and without rain in practically the entire region. The forecast also indicates low relative humidity, with values below 30%, mainly in the Central-West and west of São Paulo.
South region: a cold front could cause rainfall accumulations greater than 40 mm in central areas of Santa Catarina and in the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul. In areas of Paraná, dry weather and no rain are forecast.

In much of Central Brazil and the interior of the Northeast, dry weather and no rain are forecast throughout the week.
Forecast for the 2st week (01/08/2023 to 08/08/2023):
North region: Accumulations of less than 20 mm are predicted in practically the entire north of the region, with the exception of areas in western Amazonas and Acre, where volumes may be greater than 50 mm. In other areas of the region, there is no forecast of accumulated rain.
Northeast Region: forecast of low accumulated rainfall, which could exceed 30 mm in coastal areas of the east coast. In areas of Matopiba (a region that covers the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia), the north and interior of the region, the weather will be dry and there is no rain forecast.
Midwest and Southeast Regions: dry weather forecast, with the exception of areas in the south of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul and on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, where rainfall volumes greater than 30 mm may occur.
South region: forecast of accumulated rainfall greater than 30 mm in a large part of Paraná. In other areas, accumulations of less than 20 mm may occur.
