BNDES announces R$70 billion for agriculture in the 25/26 Harvest Plan
The amount is a record in the Bank's history and represents a 5% increase compared to the previous Safra Plan.
The week between July 14 and 21 will be marked by dry weather and falling temperatures in several regions of Brazil, according to a bulletin released this Monday (July 14) by the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). The forecast indicates heavy rainfall only in specific areas of the North Region, while most of the country is expected to face drought conditions, low relative humidity and a risk of frost.
Na Northern Region, instability is expected to be concentrated in Roraima and the extreme northwest of Amazonas and Pará, with accumulated rainfall exceeding 100 mm, especially in the "Cabeça do Cachorro" region (AM) and on the northern coast of Roraima. On the other hand, no rain is forecast for Acre, Rondônia, southern Amazonas and Pará, and Tocantins, where relative humidity could drop below 30% on the 18th, increasing the risk of forest fires.
Inside the NortheastDry weather will also prevail, particularly in southern Piauí, Maranhão, and western Bahia, which will see the lowest humidity levels this week. Small areas of coastal Sergipe, Alagoas, and northern Maranhão may experience rainfall levels above 20 mm.
A Midwest region will remain stable throughout the week, with no rain forecast. Relative humidity is expected to reach critical levels, especially in central and southern Mato Grosso do Sul, starting on the 16th. A similar situation will occur in Southeast, where dry weather predominates, with the exception of coastal areas of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, which may experience accumulations of less than 3 mm. Starting on the 16th, humidity is expected to drop below 40% in almost the entire state of São Paulo and southern and western Minas Gerais.
Na South, the weather remains relatively dry, with precipitation of up to 30 mm expected for the west and southeast coast of Rio Grande do Sul. Santa Catarina and southern Paraná may experience volumes of up to 10 mm. The arrival of low pressure starting on the 17th should increase humidity in parts of the territory, but also cause a sharp drop in temperatures, especially in Paraná.
Maximum temperatures are expected to remain high in the center-north of the country, particularly in northern Mato Grosso, Tocantins, Maranhão and Piauí, where temperatures could exceed 35°C, especially on the 20th. However, in the South and Southeast, the advance of a cold air mass will cause a sharp decline in minimum temperatures throughout the week.
Frost is expected in higher altitude areas of southern Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul, with minimum temperatures below 6°C. In parts of the Southeast, such as south-central Minas Gerais and São Paulo, temperatures could drop below 10°C between July 19 and 20.
These conditions require rural producers to pay attention to the risks associated with low air humidity, the possibility of fires and frost, which can directly impact sensitive crops and pasture management.
