The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) concluded today (11/12), the weather forecast for the next two weeks. In the first, between the 11th and 18th of December, the forecast indicates large accumulations of rain due to the formation of a humidity channel from the North Region to areas of the Southeast Region (red and pink tones on the map in figure 1), which could exceed 50 millimeters (mm).

In much of the Northeast Region, the forecast is for hot and dry weather (white and blue tones on the map).

Check out the detailed weather forecast for each region of the country for the next two weeks below!

Na Northern Region, rain showers, with amounts greater than 50 mm, are forecast in Amazonas, Acre, Rondônia, Pará, northeast of Amapá and Tocantins, which may be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms due to the combination of a High Level Cyclonic Vortex (VCAN) with heat and high humidity. In other areas, isolated rain showers cannot be ruled out (blue tones on the map).

In much of the North East Region, the forecast is for dry weather without rain, in addition to low relative humidity values (white and blue areas on the map). However, isolated rains cannot be ruled out in the west of Maranhão, Piauí and Bahia, in addition to the south of Piauí.

in the regions Midwest e Southeast, intense and more localized rains are predicted in areas of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso and northern Goiás, which may exceed 50 mm and be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms. In other areas, there is a possibility of rain with smaller accumulations.

Na South, a hot and humid air mass will favor the return of instability in the form of rain showers between Thursday and Friday. The largest accumulations may exceed 40 mm in areas in the south of the region.
