The weather forecast for the period from August 11 to 17, 2025, according to information released today by the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), indicates rains concentrated mainly in the north of Amazonas and south of Roraima, with volumes that may exceed 80 mm, while several regions of the country face dry weather and a drop in relative humidity, increasing the risk of forest fires.

Na Northern RegionAreas of instability are expected to be concentrated in the extreme northwest and central Amazonas, as well as northwestern Pará, with rainfall volumes that could exceed 60 mm (orange and red tones in Figure 1). The highest rainfall accumulations, around 80 mm, are forecast for central and northern Amazonas, as well as southern Roraima. In contrast, in the south-central regions of Rondônia, southwestern Amazonas, southern Pará, Acre, and Tocantins, no rain is forecast throughout the week. In these areas, relative humidity is expected to decrease, potentially reaching levels below 30%, as shown in Figure 2, requiring special attention to the risk of fires.

Inside the North East Region There is no forecast of rain, with a reduction in relative humidity, mainly in southwestern Piauí, eastern and western portions of Ceará, southern Maranhão, and western Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte, and Paraíba states (Figure 2). In small areas of the coast of Bahia and northern Piauí, rainfall exceeding 20 mm may occur (green tones in Figure 1).

Na Midwest region, the forecast indicates a predominance of stable weather, with no rain in all states (white areas in Figure 1). Also noteworthy is the forecast of relative humidity below 30% for the entire region in the coming days, especially in west-central Mato Grosso, south-central Mato Grosso and much of Goiás (Figure 2).

The forecast indicates for the Southeast, predominantly, absence of rain and stable weather. However, for some sectors such as the Minas Gerais mesoregions of Jequitinhonha, Vale do Mucuri, and Vale do Rio Doce, as well as the narrow coastal strip of São Paulo and Rio Janeiro, accumulated lows of up to 5 mm are forecast for the coming days (dark blue tone in Figure 1). Also noteworthy is the relative humidity below 40% forecast for the coming days in the Triângulo Mineiro, South/Southwest Minas Gerais, and central, north, and west São Paulo regions (Figure 2).

For South, accumulations of up to 5 mm are forecast in southern Santa Catarina, as well as in the Northeast and Southeast of Rio Grande do Sul and the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre (dark blue tone in Figure 1). Larger accumulations, of up to 10 mm, are forecast for the south of Southeast of Rio Grande do Sul (light blue tones in Figure 1). Also noteworthy is the relative humidity below 40% forecast for most of the state of Paraná over the next few days (Figure 2).
