The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) concluded, this Monday (27), the weather forecast for the next two weeks. In the first, between 27/11 and 04/12, the highest volumes of rain are predicted for the west and south of the country (red and pink tones on the map in figure 1).

In addition, rain showers are forecast in areas of the Central-West and Southeast regions due to the heat and high humidity. On the other hand, in a large part of the Northeast Region, the forecast is for hot and dry weather (white and blue tones on the map in figure 1).

Forecast for the 1st week (27/11/2023 to 04/12/2023):

For Northern Region, the forecast is for rain in the form of showers, with amounts greater than 50 millimeters (mm) in Amazonas, Acre, Rondônia, Pará, northern Amapá and Tocantins, which may be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms due to the heat and high humidity. In other areas, isolated rain showers cannot be ruled out (blue tones on the map).

Na North East Region, the beginning of the week will see isolated rain showers in areas of Rio Grande Norte, Ceará and the Paraíba hinterland, which may be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms due to the heat and high humidity. In the coastal strip between Pernambuco and southern Bahia, occasional rainfall is expected, reaching up to 30 mm. However, isolated rain showers cannot be ruled out in Maranhão, Piauí, western Bahia, including areas of Matopiba (Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia). In the interior of the region, the forecast is for dry weather with no rain, in addition to low relative humidity values ​​(white and blue areas on the map).

Intense and more localized rains are forecast in areas of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, the triangle and the south of Minas Gerais, in addition to the Midwest region, which can exceed 60 mm and be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and thunderstorms. Minor accumulations are predicted in specific areas of the Southeast.

Na South, the storms continue throughout the week due to the action of a hot and humid air mass, which may be accompanied by lightning, gusts of wind and hail. The largest accumulations may exceed 70 mm in areas in the northwest of Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to a large part of Santa Catarina and western Paraná. Forecast for the 2st week (05/12/2023 to 13/12/2023):

For North region, Accumulations greater than 50 mm are expected in Amazonas, Acre, Rondônia, Tocantins and southern Pará. In the northern part, the forecast is for little rain, with accumulations of less than 20 mm.

Na North East Region, the forecast is for dry weather without rain, in addition to low relative humidity values ​​in the interior of the region. Temporary rain showers are forecast in Maranhão, Piauí and Bahia, which includes areas of Matopiba, with amounts that could exceed 20 mm.

in the regions Midwest e Southeast, there is a forecast of rain showers that are expected to exceed 50 mm, especially in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, the south and the Minas Gerais Triangle, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás and the Federal District. In other areas, isolated rain showers cannot be ruled out.

Na South, the forecast is for intense rainfall exceeding 70 mm in Rio Grande do Sul, west of Santa Catarina and Paraná.
