Information on management is Bayer CropScience's highlights for the Coopavel Rural Show

Visitors to the Coopavel Rural Show, which takes place between the 7th and 11th of February, in Cascavel/PR, will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge on important topics for soybean and corn crops, the main ones in the region. Bayer CropScience set up a space dedicated to debating topics relevant to the sector, such as the benefits of carrying out seed treatment and the effectiveness of integrated disease management.

 

According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Paraná had excellent yields in 2010 in harvests of these two crops, and the State is considered the largest corn producer in the country, being responsible for around 22% of national production. last year.

 

“We have prepared a structure aimed at visitors who are looking for differentiated information, both in relation to the trends of each crop and about the innovative solutions in the Bayer CropScience portfolio”, says Everton Queiroz, commercial manager of Bayer CropScience in the Cascavel region. “By being informed about the news, farmers can increase the productivity of their crops and consequently increase their profits”, he highlights.

 

In the different environments, which include the stand, the arena, the tent and the demonstration fields, visitors will be able to see the differences of CropStar, an insecticide for exclusive use for seed treatment whose great difference is the joint control of sucking and chewing pests (caterpillars ) and nematodes. Regarding disease management, visitors will learn more about Sphere Max and Nativo, fungicides recommended for soybean and corn crops, respectively.

 

In addition to the company's experts, who will be available to visitors throughout the event at the stand, researcher Daniel Cassetari, a phytopathologist at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), will give four lectures on the 8th and 9th of February, two of which will be on the first and two on the second day, always at 8:30 am and 11 am. The specialist will talk about initial pest control and how seed treatment can help the producer avoid or reduce damage.
