A new biodefensive company arrives on the Brazilian market with a portfolio of innovative and sustainable products. Inflora Biociência, launched by the Santa Clara Group, which has been operating in the agricultural inputs sector for over 26 years, offers solutions based on microorganisms for controlling pests and diseases in crops.

The company has more than 10 registered microorganisms of its own, in addition to 7 registrations of ready-to-use products, which include bionematicides, bioinsecticides and biofungicides. These products are the result of a project started in 2013, which has received a large investment in research over the last six years.

The biodefensive market has been growing every year, with a 66% increase in revenue in the last harvest. This growth reflects the potential of the sector, which has attracted more and more farmers seeking technical alternatives that combine high agronomic efficiency, sustainable production and food security. The Santa Clara Group achieved 31% growth in the last harvest. As a financial result, revenue has increased five times in the last six years. Now it projects significant growth in the coming years, driven by the entry into the biodefensive segment.

According to João Pedro Cury, executive director of the group, the company plans to launch another 18 biodefensive formulations by 2030, expanding its portfolio and offering sustainable solutions for agribusiness. "We acquired Hydromol and CCA agroindustrial, forming the Santa Clara group in 2013 and today we have more than 100 formulation and brand registrations. We are among the 15 largest companies in the country in our segment, and we have the flexibility to adapt our products to " says Cury.

Brazil is a leader in the use of biodefensive products, with more than 55% of rural producers adopting these products on their properties. In this scenario, the Santa Clara Group meets market demand, while complementing its technology portfolio. According to the technical and marketing director, Marcelo Rolim, "biodefensive products and biological products form a thriving market, which has received a lot of investment from technology and innovation companies. Protective pesticides generate 14% and 16% growth, while that of biologicals grows by around 50% per year".

In addition to Inflora, the holding operates in the special fertilizers segment, through Santa Clara Agrociência, providing industrialization and fertilizer production services with Hydromol, and in the production of essential oils with Linax. With three industrial units, located in Jaboticabal (SP), it distributes its products to all Brazilian agricultural regions, and also abroad.

The Group acquired a new area, also in Jaboticabal, with 40 ha, to install the new Inflora Biociência industrial unit, which will also feature an Innovation Center and Technological Showcase, with a complete research structure in the areas of management, physiology and plant protection. The Innovation Center will accelerate and increase the creation of new technologies, in addition to conducting partnerships with public institutions and training professionals in the area.

To support this growth, the holding has made a series of investments in technology, people, processes and structure, which, combined with a good strategic project, is leading the group to become a reference for special products for crops in Brazil and throughout the world.
