Brazilian exports of orange juice are growing in the current 2022/23 season (from July/22 to October/22), and this increase is especially due to increased shipments to the United States.

According to data from Secex, in the 2022/23 harvest (from July/22 to October/22), the volume shipped to the North American country increased by a significant 58% compared to the same period in 2021/22, totaling 112,5 thousand tons . Revenue totaled US$221,8 million, a significant increase of 91% in the same comparison.

Cepea researchers indicate that the greater North American demand for juice is linked to the intense reduction in orange production in Florida, as a result of greening and recent climatic obstacles (hurricane) in the state.
