The assembly of stands for the 18th Bahia Farm Show has already raised expectations in relation to the visiting public. As in recent editions, the event is expected to surpass the 100 people mark. Within the complex, the 246 thousand square space begins to be occupied with structures to receive 434 confirmed companies to exhibit their products and services with a focus on the agricultural area, such as machines, implements and technologies in seeds, fertilizer, irrigation, aviation and communication. The Bahia Farm Show takes place from June 11th to 15th, in Luís Eduardo Magalhães. 

According to the president of the event and the Association of Farmers and Irrigators of Bahia, Odacil Ranzi, following the work on assembling the stands means materializing all the planning developed throughout the year. “We expanded the area by 9% compared to last year, partly to better meet the logistics of arriving and leaving the fair, with parking. In this 18th edition of the fair, already consolidated as one of the largest in Brazil, and the largest in the North and Northeast, we will continue with the satisfaction of preparing an even more beautiful fair, with paved streets, some of which are shaded, landscaping that also brings the feeling of well-being for visitors”, he states.

For the fair's executive director, Alan Malinski, the logistics for serving and guiding exhibitors in this assembly stage have been improved and, since last year, the assembly period has been brought forward, given the size of the stands, mainly from machinery companies. agriculture, and the number of exhibiting companies. “We have 15 days of work ahead of us, and we believe that the automakers have advanced their work to get everything ready so that the public can check out the main technologies in the agricultural sector,” he says.

Agenda 

With the gates opening for visitors scheduled for June 11th, at 10am, the fair will feature a diverse program focused on the transfer of knowledge and technology in the agricultural sector. Also on the first day, the traditional opening forum will be held, which this year will debate the topic “Use and monitoring of the Urucuia aquifer”, which will continue over the five days with lectures on sustainable agriculture, governance, energy transition, demonstrations and results of research focusing on soybeans, cotton and other crops. 

The agricultural fair will also feature an auction of beef and dairy cattle, product demonstrations, training and space for the sale of family farming products.
