The partnership between GenesisGroup and the National Rural Learning Service of Paraná (Senar-PR) results in the training of the 1st class of grain classifiers. There are 12 young apprentices acquiring knowledge that involves the entire grain classification operation, such as plant physiology, processing, drying and storage of grains and cultural grain management, among others.

It took nine months of learning and, even with the unforeseen circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, but respecting all required health standards, the objective was achieved. “Young people leave this project much better prepared for their professional future. They invested time to train themselves and contribute to the success of our business and themselves. Our apprentices have a unique opportunity to learn a profession and develop socially. A new project that will undoubtedly enable many young people to enter the job market more quickly, explains Andrea Helena Silva, Human Resources Director at GenesisGroup.

Andrea highlights that Genesis' contribution is practical, enabling young people to apply everything they learned in the SENAR grain classification course. “In addition, as we have the Genesis Academy, a corporate university that trains our employees, we also offer other courses for these young people, mainly focused on grain classification and other services we provide, such as aflatoxin testing and workplace safety training”, complements the project coordinator.

The apprentices have had solid training and are prepared for the challenges of the job market, including the prospect of some remaining at the company. “We hope that these professionals continue to train and, with commitment and dedication, achieve professional success”, highlights Andrea.

The grain classifier performs analyzes and tests that aim to certify the quality of grains intended for human or animal consumption, being essential for the production chain. After all, through their work they contribute to the quality and safety of agrifood.

Lana Alves da Silva, is 22 years old and is in her last semester of agronomy. She is one of the apprentices and stood out in the Rural Olympics, being among the 75 approved. "I got a good placement. It's very gratifying to be at the Rural Olympiad because of the knowledge gained during the nine months of the course. Since I started studying agronomy, I identify more with the area of plant physiology and genetic improvement, which fits with grain classification Even in the rush of the school year, I managed to balance the course, which added even more learning. I feel prepared for the market”, she says.

“We have already requested SENAR to form a new learning group. The plan is for this project to be a strong ally in the training of quality professionals and to become a reference in the region, due to its protagonism and the opportunity we offer for young people to have an excellent career in one of the most promising areas of agriculture”, he concludes. Andrea.
