ICL, a company that develops solutions in plant nutrition and physiology, will present at the 25th Summer Technological Show, on February 23 and 24, in Ponta Grossa (PR), results of research carried out in recent years with the ABC Foundation for plant cultures. soybeans, barley and beans.

Among them are those carried out with the technologies Sulfurgran B-Max (supply of Sulfur and Boron for soybean and barley crops), Polyblen (gradual release nitrogen for corn, beans and wheat crops), NutriDuo (improvement in the efficiency of grain filling from soybean crops) and the Kellus line (highly efficient and compatible micronutrients for foliar application).

Agricultural engineer João Turok, Market Development consultant at ICL, states that there are many obstacles to be overcome when we refer to soil fertility and there are two essential elements for plants that have been forgotten in fertilization for many years: Sulfur (S ) and Boron (B). “The majority of soils in the country are deficient in these two nutrients and in soybean, corn and bean crops the responses are positive to fertilization. With Sulfurgran B-Max, for example, we increased the productivity of soybeans and barley in all doses used”, he informs.

In the barley/soybean succession, the objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of supplying S (Sulphur) and B (Boron) through Sulfurgran B-MAX on crop productivity: barley first cultivation after application of the product and soybean second cultivation (responding to the residual effect), in the Arapoti region (PR), in the 20/21 harvest. “We had an increase of six bags per hectare in barley and 2,83 bags per hectare in soybeans”, celebrates Turok.

According to him, the increases in Sulfur and Boron contents in the soil (layer 0-20 cm) were also evaluated 11 months after the application of Sulfurgran B-Max. “The Sulfur content increased practically 4 times and the Boron content 3 times compared to the treatment without fertilizer application, which shows the supply and soil correction efficiency of Sulfurgran B-MAX.”

With beans, another crop evaluated, the objective was to evaluate the effects of Polyblen on crop productivity in the 2021 off-season in the Itaberá region (SP). “Productivity was 2,5 bags per additional hectare”, reveals the agronomist.

Various technologies

Aimed at corn and soybean crops, Sulfurgran B-MAX is a soil fertilizer composed of Sulfur and Boron, which allows increasing the levels of these nutrients in the soil with a single low-dose application. Its tablet format allows for uniform distribution even in different types of application. In contact with moisture in the soil, its innovative technology naturally makes Sulfur and Boron gradually available. Among the benefits are greater application efficiency, gradual release of Sulfur and Boron and consistency of results in the field. It brings high operational yield and minimizes leaching losses.

The Polyblen fertilizer line was developed to meet the specific conditions of Brazilian soils and meet the needs of your crop throughout the cycle, through the gradual release of nutrients, including Nitrogen and Potassium. Its superiority is ratified by renowned Brazilian research institutions. Among the benefits are the application of nutrients available in the planting furrow throughout the crop cycle, meeting the plant's nutritional demand without the need to apply nitrogen as cover, greater development of the root system and greater tolerance to stress. Furthermore, it maintains the correct dosage during application, greater efficiency in use by plants when compared to conventional fertilizers, without risk of spoilage, free from system clogging and avoiding machinery maintenance and, after all these benefits, there will be consequences such as greater productivity.

NutriDuo is a plant nutrition technology aimed at the grain filling phase, which has Selenium associated with other minerals, such as Zinc, Magnesium and Potassium, in foliar application. The technology combats oxidative stress, which adds to crop performance (greater stress tolerance and productive potential). Furthermore, it contributes to people's quality of life because at the same time it promotes biofortification, since, when consuming these biofortified foods, they ingest the minerals available in them, supplying part of their daily demand for these nutrients, which are largely deficient. of the world population.

Kellus is an exclusive technology from ICL that guarantees an efficient supply of micronutrients via leaf and with 100% compatibility in mixtures made in the field, bringing peace of mind and security to the producer. It keeps plants at the highest levels of performance, reduces the effects caused by the various stresses that occur during the crop cycle, generating greater use of photosynthesis and energy.
