Control in urban areas is essential to prevent the spread of greening in rural areas
Citrus and myrtle plants in cities can influence the incidence of greening in the countryside
Upon completing 45 years of presence in Brazil, DuPont Pioneer is proud to inform that, in this 2017/18 summer harvest, it reached 10 million bags sold with the 30F53 corn hybrid – the best seller in Brazil and one of the company’s best sellers in the world.
Launched in 2002, the 30F53 hybrid completes 15 years on the market, and with each new harvest, it has presented excellent performances in the field, also bringing productivity records in the fields of corn producers throughout Brazil, mainly in the Central region, where crops with productivity above 14 tons per hectare are already a reality with this material.
The 30F53 Its main distinguishing features are productive stability and wide geographic adaptation, and can be planted both in summer and in the off-season.
When it was launched, the hybrid only existed in the conventional version. From 2008 onwards, with the commercial release of the first biotechnology events in Brazil, which allowed the country to advance in the commercialization of varieties Bt, new technologies were incorporated into the hybrid. Today the 30F53 is also available to producers in the 30F53VYH version, with Leptra insect protection technology. Leptra technology is the combination of Agrisure Viptera, YieldGard, HerculexI, and Liberty Link technologies, which help control the main caterpillars that attack corn crops. In Brazil, the hybrid is also available in version 30F53VYHR, tolerant to the herbicides glyphosate and glufosinate ammonium, containing Roundup Ready 2 Corn technology.
Crop results have proven, during these years, the excellent productivity achieved with 30F53 in its different versions, and the benefits brought to farmers in the summer and off-season corn producing regions of Brazil. Remembering that maintaining the effectiveness of Leptra technology is highly linked to the adoption of good management practices, including the use of effective structured refuge.
