Holding LS invests R$250 million in LS Mtron Brasil

LS Tractor's operation in Brazil is about to complete 10 years, and the factory was ready and opened in 2013

In a demonstration of credibility in the Brazilian tractor market, with the sequence of agribusiness growth, the LS Group, from South Korea, owner of LS Mtron which has the tractor segment among its businesses, decided to increase its investments in the Brazilian factory by injecting US$50 million (R$250 million). This resource will be applied to structural improvements.

LS Tractor's operation in Brazil is about to complete 10 years, and the factory was ready and opened in 2013. When its installation was designed, the plan was to reach 5th position in the national tractor market within 7 years, something that It was achieved in the middle of the 5th year and has been maintained to this day. Focusing on products for small and medium producers, LS Tractor innovated by incorporating into its tractors technologies that were generally seen in high-power equipment, such as transmissions with up to 40 speed options, for example.

The Brazilian base serves not only the country, but all of South and Central America up to Mexico, the Philippines and the west coast of Africa. There are more than 70 Brazilian stores and around 20 distributors in neighboring countries. “We are a group that operates in several countries with various businesses, but Brazil and the Americas are special, because they have shown dynamics in their economy, especially in agribusiness”, concludes the company's Vice-President, André Rorato.
