From February 6th to 8th, positioning technology company for autonomous machines Hexagon NovAtel participates in World FIRA 2024, one of the main agribusiness events in Europe. The company will also be present as a sponsor and responsible for highlighting the topic of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) as an essential solution for efficiency and the use of robotics by global agribusiness.
World FIRA takes place in Toulouse, France, and will bring together around 70 exhibitors and 2500 participants interested in innovations in the agribusiness sector. In the program, Hexagon NovAtel will promote a meeting on the 07th, at 16:30 pm, when it will present the topic on how the basic autonomy technology for machinery is fundamental for guidance, synchronization and minimization of risks for rural producers.
"The presentation of our technology on the stage of World FIRA 2024 is extremely important to consolidate NovAtel as a supplier of technologies for agriculture. At the event, we will promote the next level of agricultural autonomy solutions for machine manufacturers and robotics companies around the world whole," says James Szabo, Agricultural Autonomy Product Manager at Hexagon.
On the occasion, Szabo will address the topic of GNSS for autonomy and productivity in agribusiness based on the premise that, in practice, scenarios in the sector can be challenging and unpredictable. "Imagine a machine activated without knowing its location or orientation, with sensors that are out of sync, or that, during operation, collides with an obstacle at the edge of the field", illustrates the professional.
In other words, automation in the segment, although necessary to increase productivity, can present defects. Therefore, the importance of accurate and reliable positioning stands out, not only in terms of hardware and software, but also in terms of process.
By participating in World FIRA 2024, Hexagon NovAtel aims to expand the knowledge of global agribusiness producers and manufacturers regarding the availability of current robotics solutions on the market and how they can help with the efficiency of their crops and machines.
