The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs reported that 42,2% of autumn grains have been harvested across China. More than half of the mid-season rice, more than 40% of the corn and about 40% of the soybeans have been harvested so far, according to the ministry.

Farmers are optimistic about a better harvest than last year, saying corn yields should be better than before, thanks in part to improved soil management practices.
