Basf launches insecticide to combat leafhoppers in sugarcane
Entigris insecticide offers rapid control, resistance management and superior residuality
The first launch of the new Harvest Agro brand, belonging to the Wirstchat Group, is available to Brazilian producers, a foliar fertilizer that increases the translocation of micronutrients in plants: Boron (B), Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn) and Zinc (Zn) . Equipped with an anti-stress effect, Argard Impact provides more health to the crop and consequently greater production at the end of the harvest.
The new product has in its formulation a composition with a balance of free amino acids, aiming to allow the plant to reach its maximum growth potential. “This is one of the products in the Asgard Line whose main characteristic is high performance, excellent performance in chelating nutrients, enabling product mixing compatibility in the spray tank. It provides Nitrogen (N), Sulfur (S), B, Mn and Zn, which are essential elements for good development”, explains the doctor in plant nutrition and technical director of the group, Roberto Reis.
Furthermore, the launch provides the induction of production of phytoalexins, hormones, tannin and elignin, resulting in detoxification of the plant after stress due to the use of herbicides and thus can generate greater productivity. “We can also list the benefits of promoting the synthesis of amino acids, proteins and enzymes, resulting in better plant metabolism (biological nitrogen fixation, photosynthesis, grain filling) and greater production”, highlights the professional.
All these characteristics in a single product have provided the field, according to Reis, with productivity increases of around 10%. “This is a formulation that can be used in soybean, corn, cotton, HF, citrus crops, among others, that is, it is recommended for multicultures. In soybeans, for example, we have seen gains of five bags per hectare in commercial areas, a great increase in productivity with increasingly tight margins in the sector”, concludes the director.
