Brazil exports 13,6 million bags of coffee in the year to May
Volume represents a drop of 19% compared to the same period in 2022 and reflects a slower start to the harvest and the little coffee remaining after two smaller harvests
New report on the May 2023 coffee harvest is released by Faesp, bringing data from Brazil and São Paulo. According to Conab, national production reached 54,7 million bags, encompassing the Arabica and Conilon varieties. This result represents a growth of 7,5% compared to the previous harvest.
In the state of São Paulo, the estimate for the 2023 coffee harvest is 4,94 million bags, according to the second Conab survey released in May. This volume represents an increase of 12,5% compared to the 2022 cycle, which faced challenges arising from adverse climate events, despite being a positive biennial year.
