Growmark announced the signing of a letter of intent to acquire AgraForm, LLC., an agrochemicals manufacturer located in St. Louis, Missouri. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close at the end of June, were not disclosed. AgraForm offers bulk formulation, agrochemical processing, spray drying, milling, packaging and storage services to chemical manufacturers. The facility produces and packages insecticides, fungicides and biological products for agricultural use.

Growmark's chief operating officer, Wade Mittelstadt, stated that the purchase is aligned with the company's strategic priorities. “This acquisition allows us to efficiently grow these product lines while also providing the opportunity to produce proprietary products in the future,” he said. “We can also strengthen our relationships with key suppliers who currently utilize AgraForm’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.”

AgraForm currently operates two properties in St. Louis, one for manufacturing and the other for dry storage. With demand for fungicides, insecticides, biologics and generics growing, this acquisition will allow Growmark to influence another critical point in the agricultural value chain and increase its market share.

“The AgraForm team is extremely excited to partner with Growmark to combine formulation processing with distribution, generating long-term value and growth for our current customers, Growmark customers and FS Cooperatives,” said Ron Cunningham, president of AgraForm .

Growmark is an agricultural cooperative serving nearly 400.000 customers across North America, providing agronomy, energy, engineering and facility construction, and logistics products and services, as well as grain marketing and risk management services.
