Just over a year after its launch in Brazil, Granular Insights, a Corteva solution that allows producers to direct monitoring in the field, reached the 1 million hectare mark. Used in crops of the main Brazilian crops, such as soybeans and corn, the tool also helps rice, mango and grape producers. In total, there are almost two thousand properties monitored by Granular Insights in different states across the country.
Through its digital agriculture platform, Corteva remains committed to the development of tools that will increasingly contribute to the digital journey of Brazilian agribusiness, in addition to delivering a package of highly technological and differentiated products and services, to contribute to the increase productivity with producer sustainability. “The good performance of Granular Insights in Brazil shows that Corteva is connected with the main challenge of Brazilian agribusiness, producing more and more, in a smaller area, with higher quality, respecting the environment and people”, explains Guilherme Caldeira, Digital Marketing Leader in Brazil.
Through monitoring, Granular Insights facilitates collaboration with partners and provides information for decision-making with confidence and time savings, seeking to increase profitability. Furthermore, it is an intuitive interface solution and, therefore, very easy to use.
Granular Insights uses images captured by a constellation of satellites, at a resolution of 3x3m, mostly from 10am to 14pm local time, to take advantage of the angle of the sun at a high angle and deliver only the highest quality images.
