Storage is one of the main steps in the grain production chain. It is a subject of great complexity due to the fact that it is multidisciplinary and involves a very wide range of operations, equipment and structures. To fully understand the art of how to store agricultural products well, professionals who work in the area need to have a very broad knowledge that ranges from receiving the product to its dispatch in a storage unit. It is important to know all aspects that influence the quality of stored products. During storage, the product goes through a series of operations, such as: unloading into the hopper, pre-cleaning, drying, cleaning, aeration, phytosanitary treatment, shipping, among others. A series of equipment is used to transport and manipulate the product. It is important that professionals working in the storage area know the basic principles of operation, regulation and maintenance of all equipment used in a storage unit. Large-scale storage involves the use of equipment and structures that are expensive to implement. It is necessary for professionals to know how to make the most of this structure in order to obtain maximum processing capacity, minimum operational costs and the best possible final quality for the product. The Grain Storage Course offered by Centreinar aims to train professionals who work in the Storage Area how to store grains well in such a way that the quantitative and qualitative losses inherent to the various storage processes are as minimal as possible.
