This week, technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) begin research in Minas Gerais for the 1st survey of the 2020/2021 Grain Harvest. Due to the suspension of travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the survey will be carried out remotely, with producers, cooperatives, agribusiness consultancy companies, resellers, technical assistance and rural extension companies, among others.
The objective is to obtain information on production estimates for summer harvest crops and 3rd harvest crops (beans and wheat). The seven routes researched are: South, South/Central, Triângulo Mineiro and Triângulo Mineiro/Alto Paranaíba, Northwest, North/Northwest, Central-West of Minas.
Among the municipalities monitored are Alfenas, Boa Esperança, Camanducaia, Campos Gerais, Carmo Rio Claro, Machado, Muzambinho, Paraguaçu, Passos, Piranguçu, São Sebastião do Paraíso, Baependi, Caldas, Cambuquira, Heliodora, Lagoa Dourada, Madre de Deus de Minas , Minduri, Pouso Alegre, São Gonçalo do Sapucaí, São João Del Rey and Três Corações.
The survey continues until September 25th and the results will be published on the Company's website, on October 8th, together with data from the other states.
