The federal government published the minimum prices for summer and regional crops, as well as seeds, valid for the 2023/2024 harvest. The adjustments were established by the National Monetary Council (CMN) and published in Ordinance 612 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) in today's Official Gazette of the Union.
For the main products, the adjustments varied according to the behavior of the variable cost of the crop and the economic parameters that influence price formation.

In this policy, if the price of the product on the market is below the minimum, the government, through Conab, must act to guarantee a minimum remuneration to the producer, while at the same time stimulating the price reaction in the market.
