The Government of Goiás, through the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa), signs, this Thursday (27), a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT) for the Integration of Efforts between the Parties aiming to expand the area occupied with Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration systems (ILPF). The event will be held in the Seapa auditorium, in Goiânia, at 08 am.
Through cooperation, joint activities must be developed to expand the area occupied by ILPF systems in the state of Goiás through the dissemination of technology in potential regions, training of rural assistance technicians, carrying out diagnoses of technology adoptability and identification of bottlenecks and potential, we seek to promote the sustainable adoption of these systems.
To ensure the achievement of the project's objectives, regions with the greatest potential for adopting ILPF in Goiás will initially be identified. In view of this, technical visits and dissemination events will be carried out, including the training of rural assistance technicians, who will be responsible for carrying out diagnoses of the current situations of each mapped area.
Secretary Pedro Leonardo Rezende, head of Seapa, highlights that the initiative is aligned with the development strategies of agribusiness production chains. “The growing global demand for food and natural resources requires an expansion of sustainable agricultural production. In this context, ILPF systems emerge as a viable alternative, as they promote the sustainable intensification of agricultural production. The partnership between Seapa and Associação Rede de Fomento ILPF aims to boost the development and adoption of these practices in the state of Goiás, aligning with the commitments of the Unit's Execution Plan”, he states.
Seapa's Agricultural Sustainability Manager, Stella Miranda, understands that “the initiative represents an important milestone in the dissemination and professional qualification related to this technology. Goiás is a reference state in agriculture and has a very broad productive potential. The expansion of activities must be linked to environmentally sustainable production systems, which expands not only productivity but also the recognition and appreciation of our production worldwide”.
Representatives from Seapa, Rede ILPF, Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Embrapa, Syngenta, Cocamar and Sementes Oeste Paulista (Soespe) participate in the signing of the ACT.
