Present in 12 states, with 19 franchisees and 55 thousand customers, Goplan – a franchisor focused on agribusiness – announces another partner, Agro Kafa, based in Patrocínio (MG). The company has a strong presence and presence in the Minas Gerais market, mainly in the Alto Paranaíba region and the Minas Gerais triangle.
Founded six years ago by rural producers with extensive experience in the agricultural sector, Agro Kafa closed 2022 with R$15 million in revenue, 70% coming from coffee farming and the remainder divided into other activities, including dairy farming, horticulture, corn and soybeans . With an area of operation that encompasses a radius of 200 kilometers around Patrocínio, one of the main coffee producing municipalities in Brazil, Agro Kafa today serves a region that covers 400 thousand hectares, and represents 21% of the Agricultural GDP of Minas Gerais. This year, at the same congress, in São Paulo, we are signing the contract; the business format and governance created by Goplan meet what we were looking for”, he explains.
The arrival of Agro Kafa reinforces the implementation of a disruptive business model in the sector, according to Carlos Renato Brega, CEO of Goplan. Our values are perceived as competitive differentiators and a path to further improve the partner's business and their relationship with the farmer, as he now accesses a range of products and support services that help him boost his business, without losing its identity and personalized service to customers”, celebrates Brega. In a year of adjustments in agribusiness, the arrival of a new franchisee shows, according to the CEO, that Goplan should grow in 2023 more than the market.
With the union, Goplan now has a network with 20 franchisees, more than 1 thousand employees and 55 thousand customers, covering all important producing regions in Brazil, being present with 94 stores in the South, Southeast, Central-West, North and Northeast and in 21 million hectares planted.
In 2022, Goplan had revenues of R$145 million, while its franchisees closed the year with revenues exceeding R$3 billion. The company was born in 2020 with a focus on providing intelligent solutions, both in inputs and services, to its franchisee and rural producer, integrating knowledge and technology for sustainable agricultural production and management. The business model includes the offering of nutrition and biological products, among others, and a shared services center aimed at reducing costs and/or gaining competitiveness that includes administrative and financial advice, digital tools and training. Everything is based on good commercial practices, ethics, respect for employees and the environment.
