Nutrien releases results for the second quarter of 2023
Revised full-year guidance to reflect lower global potash prices than previously anticipated
Goplan, a Brazilian distribution platform focused on agribusiness, is participating for the second time in the Andav Congress, the largest event in the country's agricultural input distribution sector, which takes place in São Paulo, between the 8th and 10th of August. The company, which began its activities in 2020, is looking for new franchisees who want to be part of an innovative and sustainable business model.
According to CEO Carlos Renato Brega, Goplan offers intelligent solutions for its franchisee and rural producer, integrating knowledge and technology for efficient agricultural production and management. The company serves various crops, such as soybeans, corn, coffee, sugarcane, citrus and fruit and vegetables, and has 19 franchisees, totaling 93 stores in 12 Brazilian states. The Goplan franchisee network employs more than a thousand employees, half of which are in the commercial area.
To apply for a Goplan franchise, the distributor must have experience and stability in the market, adopt good management practices and be willing to develop their business based on collective strategies. "We look for franchisees motivated to continuous growth and development and we provide all the support to make this happen", says Brega.
The business model includes the offering of nutrition and biological products, among others, and a shared services center aimed at reducing costs and/or gaining competitiveness that includes administrative and financial advice, digital tools and training. Everything is based on good commercial practices, ethics, respect for employees and the environment.
According to the CEO, the franchise model makes it viable to offer a solid foundation to customers, allowing Goplan franchisees to jointly develop product and service technology, and adopt strategies for gains in efficiency and business growth that would otherwise be difficult of being conquered by distribution on an individual basis. “Furthermore, it is a model that strengthens and values the partnership relationship with the producer, since the distribution managing partner remains present in the field. The producer negotiates directly with the distribution owner. Thus, Goplan provides franchisees with access to exclusive solutions that will support long-term development; and, in turn, the franchisee is able to transfer new knowledge and technologies to the field, supporting the long-term sustainability of the rural producer”, explains the CEO.
In December 2022, Goplan announced Vaccaro as its first franchise partner in the South region. The partnership was born at the Andav 2022 Congress, which adds up and brings great perspectives to the market. The franchisor closed the year with revenue of R$ 145 million and its franchisees, in the region of R$ 3 billion.
In addition to financial products, which include structured operations and credit lines; and management and development support services, such as auditing, strategic HR and training, among others, Goplan now offers digital services, which include:
Go + Sales – tool for relationship management and sales.
go up – tool that assists the consultant, together with the producer, in making decisions regarding crop management, customizing service in the field.
Speak Goplan – Social media platform that allows relationships and exchange of experiences between the group’s teams.
