Goiás hosts event on bean, wheat and cover crop cultivars

Field Day will feature the participation of producers, consultants and rural technicians

The III Field Day on Beans, Wheat and Cover Plants will be held on July 18th at Fazenda Pontinha, located in Cristalina, 281 km from Goiânia, with the participation of producers, consultants and rural technicians.

Coordinated by Consultoria Cristalgrin, the field day has the support of Embrapa Arroz e Feijão (GO) and Embrapa Cerrados (DF), FMC Corporation and Biotrigo, the event aims to present Embrapa's carioca bean cultivars, BRS Pérola; BRS FC402; BRS FC104 (super early); and black beans BRS FP403 and BRS Esteio; also the wheat cultivars BRS 394 and BRS 264, in addition to other Biotrigo varieties and address soil fertility and disease management practices.

During the field day, participants will go through four stations: Positioning of bean cultivars; Positioning of wheat cultivars; Integrated disease management; and, finally, the fourth station, Management practices for the formation of organic matter.

For the event organizers, this is an unprecedented experience with growing beans, wheat and cover crops in the same area.
