Ginkgo Bioworks and Syngenta Seeds announce partnership

Ginkgo Bioworks and Syngenta Seeds announced a collaboration to develop new traits in seeds. The initiative is a response to the growing demand for agricultural products capable of facing the challenges of climate and pests.

The partnership will leverage Ginkgo Bioworks' cellular programming capabilities and Syngenta's seed research and development efforts.

The collaboration will utilize Ginkgo's genetic library for new trait discovery and the company's proprietary high-throughput screening technologies to complement and accelerate Syngenta's efforts in plant trait development.
