At the end of last year, Koppert Biological Systems acquired Geocom, a pioneering company in image geoprocessing and the first to develop an exclusive technology for applying biological agents via drones in Brazil. Since then, the company has been offering these services, with the expectation of serving six states and more than 1,6 million hectares in 2021. From now on, Geocom will be called Natutec, the company's global drone brand.

In this new phase, it will offer a complete solution to the producer, guaranteeing the maximum performance of biodefensive products in the field through the quality of Koppert products and the consolidated operation of Natutec. For Koppert's communications and marketing manager, Jaqueline Antonio, this brand transition is essential for the exchange of technology between the company's units. “In addition, since the beginning of the year, we have been working on integrating the Geocom and Koppert teams,” she explains.

Vinícius Lopes, sugarcane manager at Koppert, explains that the objective is to integrate the provision of services with the company's concept. “Natutec takes us to biological management with embedded technology and excellence in the service solution provided. In this new cycle, we aim to consolidate the commitment to deliver applications and post-application reports to Brazilian farmers that consider the results and efficiency of our products”, he concludes.

Natutec Drone is located in Lençóis Paulista (SP), the former headquarters of Geocom, and also offers image monitoring and geoprocessing services to farmers. “We understand that in the transition, there will be greater exposure to the market, with strong promotion of the brand and with this we will be able to obtain a leadership position with the use of innovative technologies that establish a new level of sustainable agriculture”, says Edmilson Ruiz, from the operational department of Geocom/Natutec.
