Gavea Marketplace, an agtech that created the world's first blockchain-based commodities exchange, will participate on the 28th and 29th of June in the World Agri-Tech South America Summit 2022, in São Paulo.
In its 3rd edition, the event brings together investors and exhibitors from the agri-food market from around the world and aims to scale environmental and economic sustainability throughout the value chain. The expectation is that World Agri-Tech will receive visits from more than 400 global leaders in the segment.
Just like Gavea, other producers, food companies, startups, investors and government agencies will be present at the event, which seeks to increase discussions related to the sector, as well as provide new connections and partnerships.
“Participating in an event of this size is a privilege. Being present in this innovation ecosystem when it comes to the agri-food market is essential for us to chart the future. We did this at the fair in San Francisco, and now we will present in São Paulo how our technology contributes both to the work of rural producers and to other participants, promoting traceability and socio-environmental compliance”, emphasizes the CEO of Gavea, Vítor Uchôa.
One of the new features that Gavea will present at the event is its offer of tokenized credit backed by a digital Rural Product Cell (CPR) and the token (registration) of the commodity through the platform. The modality should be available this semester and will allow the producer to receive payment for the grain in advance.
World Agri-Tech will be held in two ways: in person and virtually. The physical meeting will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, in the Jardins region, in São Paulo. For those who will participate online, a platform will be made available to connect those at home with those who will be at the hotel.
Through interactive panels, round tables and individual meetings, the event aims to attract an even larger audience than previous editions.
In just over a year of activity, the Gavea platform has already added more than R＄10 billion in business opportunities, which corresponds to more than 5 million tons of products. The solution is present in ten states in Brazil — Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rondônia, Maranhão, Piauí and Tocantins.
