On the 16th, 17th and 18th of September, the municipality of Garça-SP hosts the 1st Tecnocafé (Regional Coffee Technology Fair), which should present technological innovations at the service of coffee farming.
The event has a rich program, which includes the 5th Special Coffee Competition in the Garça Region, the sale of different brands of specialty coffees in the region, technical lectures, an amusement park, a food court (which has local restaurants and entities charities), musical shows, in addition to the exhibition and sale of machinery and implements.
The 5th Garça Region Special Coffee Competition is a highly anticipated attraction, as is the experience of tasting coffees of this type and information about different extractions of the drink.
The fair also takes a special look at the participation of women in agribusiness, with actions that include this audience. One of these initiatives is the strategy of Bayer – partner of the event – called Conexão Mulheres, focused 100% on women coffee producers, with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Antônio Luís Santi, from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM).
Tecnocafé takes place at the Garça Artificial Lake, which has complete infrastructure for exhibitors and visitors, including a food court, with free access.
According to information from the organizers, expectations are high for this first edition, which should establish the action in the annual calendar of agribusiness fairs. “We want to bring the future closer to coffee growers, through solutions that connect technology, agriculture, efficiency and sustainability”, they highlighted.
The project was designed and is being organized by Vice-Mayor Flávio Peres, together with the Secretariat of Economic Development and Tourism, represented by Bruno Severino, and a group of volunteers from García society. The event is held by the Garça Region Coffee Council – ConGarça, the Association of Specialty Coffee Producers of the Garça Region – Garça Specialty Coffee Association – GSCA, and the Life Support Association – Equipe Foco.
The action also has the support of the City Hall, CONSEB's,
Commercial and Industrial Association, Rural Union, São Paulo Agribusiness Technology Agency (APTA), National Rural Learning Service (SENAR), Rural Union of Garça (SRG), SEBRAE, CIESP, CONSEB's, CATI, FATEC, ETEC and FAEF of Garça .
