Fundecitrus – Citrus Defense Fund held the first course on the new control of citrus canker last Thursday (20), at its headquarters in Araraquara/SP, and was attended by one hundred people, including citrus growers, agronomists, agricultural technicians and property managers.
“Knowing about the new control of citrus canker is a necessity for everyone who works in the citrus industry, so participating in the course was very valuable”, says phytosanitary manager Rafael Augusto Hernandes.
In addition to addressing control measures, new disease control strategies in São Paulo were presented during the training, in accordance with Resolution of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply nº. 10 of 20/02/2017 (SAA Resolution 10), which formalized the adoption of the risk mitigation system (SMR) in the state.
The course lasts three hours and the next ones will be held in Itajobi (03/08), São José do Rio Preto (24/08), Bebedouro (28/09) and Lucianópolis (05/10).
