The new edition of Citricultor magazine, a traditional Fundecitrus publication, is especially dedicated to greening, the most serious citrus disease in the world that has reached the highest level since its identification in Brazil in 2004. The average incidence in the citrus belt of São Paulo and Triângulo/ Sudoeste Mineiro reached 22,37%, with some regions reaching much higher rates, such as Limeira (61,75%), Brotas (50,40%) and Porto Ferreira (37,84%).
With the aim of raising awareness among citrus growers about the scenario and the need to adopt rigorous management, the publication provides detailed information about the current situation of greening in the different regions of the citrus park, what are the causes for the advance and the consequences already observed, in addition to what must be done to stop the growth of the disease, with specific guidelines to resolve the main control failures observed in the field and recommendations for the most critical locations.
The Citricultor magazine is over ten years old and is aimed at citrus growers and professionals in the sector, always bringing together the latest research results and data generated by Fundecitrus. This edition – and also the previous ones – is available for free download at www.fundecitrus.com.br/comunicacao/revista_detalhes/revista-citricultor---edicao-56/75.
