The Fundecitrus initiative aims to improve phytosanitary management in the citrus belt, with an emphasis on greening, at this time, given the increase in the psyllid population in several regions. Through online meetings, the institution's agronomists and researchers discuss with citrus growers the best strategies for controlling the main pests and diseases.
During the meetings, the citrus grower can explain their management strategies and the problems they have faced on a daily basis – enabling the Fundecitrus technical team to assess the situation, providing additional information to improve phytosanitary control.
Starting in June, 12 meetings have been held since then with various citrus growers and technicians in the sector. Participation by producers has been high and other meetings are already scheduled.
To request a meeting, citrus growers must contact the Fundecitrus agronomist in their region directly or the Communications department by calling 0800-110-2155.
