This Monday (28/03), the Fundecitrus Harvest Estimation Research (PES) team begins the final survey regarding the estimate of the 2022/2023 orange harvest for the citrus belt of São Paulo and Triângulo/Southwest Mineiro.

At this stage, plots of properties in the belt are drawn for harvesting fruits from plants (with reimbursement from producers), to estimate the average number of fruits produced per tree in this next harvest. Then, the fruits are transported to a laboratory in Araraquara, where they are counted and weighed.

The data will be kept confidential until the harvest announcement, which will take place on May 26, at 10 am, when it will be released to the entire public.
