SuperBac operates in agriculture, effluent treatment and oil and gas. The company's activities involve the development of bacteria-based products. In agriculture, the highlight is its biotechnological fertilizers. In this fertilizer market, SuperBac operates through its subsidiary Superbac Indústria e Comércio de Fertilizandos S.A., a company that sells organomineral fertilizers in the Brazilian market, using SuperBac's fermented bacteria.
In Brazil, SuperBac operates in the segments of biotechnological solutions for agriculture (fertilizers), psychculture, oil and gas and sanitation and consumer goods. SuperBac is part of the Temasek group's portfolio in Brazil through the participation of more than 20% of Sommerville Investments BV in its capital.
In turn, XP Private Equity II Fundo de Investimento em Participações Multiestratégia is an investment fund created in 2022. It is an investment fund focused on investments of private equity (risky investments). The initial offering of shares in this fund was R$2,9 billion. The money is invested in companies in the following sectors: agribusiness, consumption and retail, education, finance and health.
In the launch prospectus, the administrator warns: "Investments made in the Fund and by the Fund are not guaranteed by the Administrator, the Participating Institutions, the Manager, the FGC or any insurance mechanism, and may even result in total loss of assets of the Fund and, consequently, of the capital invested by Shareholders".
