Funcafé releases contracts worth R$ 2,3 billion with banks for the current harvest

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply signed a contract with 11 financial agents to operate with resources from Funcafé (Coffee Economy Defense Fund) from the 2019/2020 harvest, totaling immediate availability of R$2,33 billion for coffee growers.

The amount was transferred to credit lines for funding, marketing, acquisition of coffee and working capital for the soluble industries, roasters and cooperatives, in addition to the recovery of damaged coffee plantations, to assist producers whose crops were damaged by the recent frost. .

In total, there are 35 financial agents who will operate a budget of R$5,071 billion for the current harvest.
