This week, the signing of contracts by the Coffee Economy Defense Fund (Funcafé) took place in Brasília to offer R$6,3 billion to coffee growers in Brazil in the 2023/24 financial year, which will boost this chain.
Of this total, R$3,4 billion is already available to financial agents to make available to coffee producers, representing a record amount of resources, for another year. The event was attended by the minister of agriculture and livestock, Carlos Fávaro and the president of the National Coffee Council (CNC), Silas Brasileiro, as well as representatives from agribusiness and financial institutions and political authorities. Through the program, 44 financial agents are qualified to serve coffee producers in Brazil on various lines of credit.
