Fruit Farming Route gains prominence at AgroBrasília 2022

Technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) will participate, starting Tuesday (17), in AgroBrasília 2022, publicizing and clarifying doubts about the support programs for farmers implemented by the state-owned company. Held until the 21st, at the Ivaldo Cenci Technological Park, approximately 70 km from Brasília, the agricultural business fair is aimed at rural entrepreneurs of different sizes and aims to present technological innovations for the different segments of Brazilian agribusiness.

“AgroBrasília increasingly attracts farmers not only from the Federal District, but also from the productive region of states close to the DF. Opportunities like this bring us closer to the public, in order to expand contacts, improving information generation and business work, in addition to expanding the Company's operations in order to contribute to agricultural and supply development", highlights the president of Conab, Guilherme Ribeiro.

Public service will be held at the Rota da Fruticultura stand. There, visitors will be able to learn more about the Company's work in strengthening fruit growing in the DF and surrounding areas, transforming the region into a national reference as one of the main fruit production and commercialization hubs in the country. In this work, Conab is responsible for collecting field information, such as production, productivity, markets, logistics, supply and demand and production costs.

“After the diagnosis, methodologies and platforms for generating and disseminating knowledge will be developed. A set of information will be made available that Rota will transform into a system with crossed data and that will serve as the basis for another stage: planning increasing production, aimed at internal and external consumption, with quality and profitability. This way, public and private sector agents can make more assertive decisions”, reinforces the superintendent of the Federal District Company, Clauciene Caetano de Oliveira.

Anyone who stops by Conab's stand at AgroBrasília 2022 will also be able to learn a little more about the methodologies adopted to collect information on stocks, product prices, harvest surveys, among other data, as well as better understand the programs and public policies for support for the sector carried out by the state-owned company.

AgroBrasília, held by the Agricultural Cooperative of the Federal District Region (Coopa-DF), presents technological innovations for different segments of Brazilian agribusiness and promotes business in the sector. The organizers expect to receive, this year, 90 to 120 thousand visitors over the five days of programming.
