Frísia prepares Field Night to demonstrate soybean genetics

Event takes place on February 22, 2022 and will be held in person again

The traditional Sementes Batavo Country Night already has a date scheduled to happen. February 22, 2022, professionals in the agribusiness will be able to check out what's new about the best cultivars, main holders of soybean genetics in the country. The event is organized and conducted by the Frísia cooperative, owner of the Batavo seed brand, which already has more than 40 years of tradition in the market.

At the beginning of the harvest period, companies and rural producers involved in the supply chain and agricultural production participate in these events that bring together researchers, research institutions linked to development of the field, among other experts in the field. The relevance of Noite de Campo is looking for high-performance and productivity solutions for specific regions, which also reflects the search for new technologies developed by agricultural input manufacturers. The Production Coordinator of Sementes Batavo, Luiz Henrique Deschamps, explains that the good performance of farming depends on the correct choice of seeds. “Every year we bring news and launches of new cultivars. It's an opportunity for members of Friesland, rural producers and resellers learn about the productivity of different types of seeds that were planted. At the time of Field Night, our more than 40 cultivars can be seen in situ”, says Deschamps.

During the event, guests pass through different stations where they listen to technicians explain each of the cultivars. In that moment, they observe the planted plots and take the opportunity to chat with the specialists. “It is this interaction that allows rural producers to carry out choose which seed to purchase for the next harvest. Cycle, bearing, resistance to diseases and pests, health, for example, are information detailed by the technicians at each station”, explains the commercial coordinator of Batavo Seeds, Rafael Tombini.

Night Edition

Noite de Campo is in its third edition and, in 2022, it will return be in person. Frísia organizes the event at night due to the time of harvest of rural producers. “Our proposal brings a night event because We are in harvest time. During the day it becomes more difficult for rural producers move, as you have other important tasks. Thinking about facilitating everyone’s routine, we bring the moment to the night”, explains Marcelo Cavazotti, manager of Agricultural Business in Friesland.

Thus, the event organization prepares lighting special so that guests have a different experience in the field demonstrative and experimental. Then everyone is brought together for a talk. and networking time. 300 people are expected.

Lecture with expert

Productivity and plantability in the field do not depend just the correct choice of seed. There are other factors that are co-responsible for the success of farming and business in general, such as seed storage, soil management, climate, control and regulation of machinery, planting depth, among others. And to complement the information received about the cultivars, the participants of the Field Night You will be able to hear tips to obtain better results in agricultural activities.

“From production to seed use - everything you need to know to harvest more”, this will be the theme of the evening’s talk. Who will talk about the subject is the guest Dejalma Zimmer, currently one of the most requested names of agriculture for lectures, training, consultations and market coaching.

Zimmer has a master's degree in Industrial Science and Technology, a Ph.D. in Seed Science and Technology and has been a university professor and postgraduate coordinator in Rio Grande do Sul.
