Free course teaches safe use of backpack sprayers

The National Union of the Plant Protection Products Industry (Sindiveg) has launched a free online course on the correct use of backpack sprayers. The content follows the rules of Decree No. 10.833/2021, which created the Legal Applicator program.

The technical training was developed based on guidelines from the Ministry of Agriculture. The objective is to qualify professionals with a focus on safe and up-to-date practices, in accordance with legislation.

The module covers all stages of the process: product preparation, equipment handling and safe application. Backpack sprayers, used in crops and gardens, operate by manual or motorized pressure and require specific care.

According to Sindiveg, the course was developed based on an extensive bibliographic review and technical analysis. Field recordings and video editing followed pedagogical guidelines. The content seeks to anticipate requirements that will be imposed in the future by the Ministry of Agriculture.
